Look for the status check option on the page.
Type your 13-digit SA ID number and the cellphone number you used when you applied.
Your status will show as Approved, Pending, or Declined.
Send "Status" to the official SASSA SRD WhatsApp number and follow the prompts.

Your application was successful. SASSA will pay your grant through your approved payment method (bank account or other SASSA-approved arrangement).
SASSA is still checking your application. This is normal and can take a few weeks. Keep checking back.
Your application was not approved. Check the reason given by SASSA. You can appeal the decision or reapply with updated information.
Change your banking details, phone number, or manage your SRD application.
Manage Your SRD GrantFor grants other than SRD (Older Person's, Child Support, Disability, etc.), use these channels.
Check application status for non-SRD grants through the SASSA online services portal.
Take your ID to your nearest SASSA office. They can check your status in person.
