Open srd.sassa.gov.za in your browser to do a SASSA status check.
Look for the status check option on the page.
Type your 13-digit SA ID number and the cellphone number you used when you applied.
Your status will show as Approved, Pending, or Declined.
Send "Status" to the official SASSA SRD WhatsApp number to check your status.

Your application was successful. SASSA will pay your R350 grant through your approved payment method.
SASSA is still processing your application. This is normal and can take a few weeks. Do another SASSA status check later.
Your application was not approved. Check the reason and appeal the decision or reapply with updated information.
Change your banking details, phone number, or manage your SRD application.
